Educating all of our children must be one of our urgent priorities. |
We all know that, education more than anything else improves our chances of leading better lives. |
As we in Africa face the challenges of building a better Africa, the continued investment in the education of our children must be at the heart of our efforts. |
No child in Africa, and in fact anywhere in the world, should be denied education. I know that we can reach this goal. |
By pooling our different strengths and assets and through strong partnerships with government, business and civil society, we can make a difference. |

To unroot the serious Ethiopia’s HIV/AIDS pandemic, we support Abebech Gobena on prevention, care, support and mitigation through community-based channels. Our support goes as far as reaching orphans and other vulnerable children in cities and remote rural areas. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Ethiopia has a neonatal mortality rate one of the highest in Africa, with tetanus infection being the second major cause of childrens death. We sensibly look into this problem and support Abebech Gobena to educate mothers on healthful practices while encouraging utilization of key services, like vaccinations, to improve the health of themselves and their newborns. |

Karin Sangren represents the International Society of Mankebacks of Sweden. She has travelled a lot in Ethiopia an knows this country as her own motherland. She is fond about Ethiopian culture and speaks fluent amharic. She works closely with Abebech since the Wollo wanton destruction in the 70s. |
